Binance P2P Alternatives in 2026: Spain and LatAm Comparison

For years, for most users in Spain and Latin America, crypto P2P was synonymous with Binance P2P. In 2026 that has changed: Binance did not obtain the European MiCA license and has stopped offering new services in the EU. If you are looking for alternatives, here is a comparison with verified data and links to sources, separating custodial platforms (exchanges) from non-custodial ones.

What Happened to Binance in Europe

The European MiCA regulation gave crypto-asset providers a transitional period to obtain their authorization, which in Spain ended on July 1, 2026. Binance withdrew its application in Greece in June and, since July, users in the EU cannot open accounts, deposit or buy, although they can still withdraw their funds.

Before that, Binance had already removed its USDT trading pairs for EEA users in March 2025, because USDT is not authorized as a stablecoin under MiCA.

For anyone trading P2P with euros, the result is twofold: you need to look for another platform and, if you want to keep using USDT, understand what each one offers.

Custodial Alternatives: The Other Exchanges

If you don’t mind KYC and prefer to stay on an exchange, the alternatives are the usual ones, with important nuances in Europe.

Bybit P2P

Bybit charges 0% in most currencies on its P2P, with some exceptions by market according to its help center. Its subsidiary Bybit EU obtained a MiCA license in Austria in 2025 and is migrating EEA users from the global platform. We have not been able to confirm that Bybit EU offers P2P in Spain.

Worth noting: in February 2025 Bybit suffered the largest hack in crypto history, with roughly $1.4–1.5 billion in ETH stolen from a cold wallet, attributed to the Lazarus Group. Bybit said its customers’ balances remained backed, but it is a reminder of what it means to leave your funds in the hands of a third party.

OKX P2P

OKX has held a MiCA license in Malta since January 2025 and was among the first to remove USDT trading pairs in the EEA, in March 2024. Its P2P works without fees according to independent reviews, but we have not been able to confirm its availability for users in Spain.

Bitget P2P

Bitget charges a 0% fee on P2P according to its official help article, with mandatory KYC. In Europe, its subsidiary has indicated it will not serve the EEA until it has a MiCA license.

El Dorado

El Dorado is a P2P platform focused on Latin America, widely used in Venezuela, Colombia and Argentina. It supports USDT and USDC, charges a 0.25% fee to the maker/advertiser and requires identity verification with a document and video. It accepts local methods such as Pago Móvil, Zinli or Zelle. It is custodial: funds are held by the platform until the payment is confirmed.

Non-Custodial Alternatives: No-KYC P2P

If you want to avoid depending on an exchange (or its license, its account freezes, or its solvency), the alternative is a non-custodial P2P, where funds are locked in an onchain escrow rather than on the platform.

Most of the veteran options, however, only trade Bitcoin:

  • Hodl Hodl: 2-of-3 multisig escrow, no KYC, 0.75% per side (0.5% with a referral code).
  • Bisq: decentralized desktop application. Bisq 1 uses multisig with security deposits; Bisq Easy has no fees but relies on the seller’s reputation, with no escrow.
  • RoboSats: P2P over Lightning with bonds, a 0.2% total fee.

A recent exit: Peach Bitcoin suspended its escrow in September 2026, now requires KYC to sell, and no longer targets EU users.

For stablecoins, non-custodial options are far fewer. Paydece, the best-known Spanish-speaking option, became Cueva and closed its marketplace in early 2026.

Vailox: Non-Custodial P2P for USDT and USDC

Vailox is a decentralized P2P marketplace designed for those who want to trade stablecoins with their own wallet:

  • No sign-up or KYC. Connect MetaMask, Phantom, TronLink, Ledger or any compatible wallet.
  • Onchain escrow. The seller’s crypto is locked in a smart contract whose owner cannot withdraw the funds: in case of dispute, it can only release them to the buyer or the seller.
  • USDT and USDC on six networks: Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain and Tron.
  • Local payment methods: Bizum, SEPA transfer, Revolut, Wise, N26, PayPal, Zelle, MercadoPago, Pago Móvil and cash at Cash Points, in euros, dollars, Argentine pesos and bolívares.
  • Per-trade fee shown before you confirm the order.

The difference from exchanges is not just KYC: it is that your funds do not depend on a company’s license, solvency or decisions. If a custodial platform shuts down in your country, your funds stay trapped until you can withdraw them. In a non-custodial P2P, they are always either in your wallet or in a contract that can only release them to one of the parties to the trade.

How to Choose

  • Want to stay on an EU-regulated exchange → look at Bybit EU or OKX and check that its P2P is available in your country. Keep in mind you will be trading USDC or other authorized assets, not USDT.
  • In Latin America and don’t mind KYC → El Dorado, Bybit or Binance (if it operates in your country).
  • Want Bitcoin without KYC → Hodl Hodl, Bisq or RoboSats.
  • Want USDT or USDC without KYC and without custody → Vailox.

Whichever you choose, review our guide to the most common P2P scams before your first trade.

Frequently asked questions

Does Binance P2P still work in Spain?

Binance did not obtain a MiCA license and, since July 1, 2026, does not accept new users, deposits or purchases in the EU, although it still allows withdrawals. It has not published a specific statement about its P2P in Spain, so it is worth checking in the app itself.

What is the best Binance P2P alternative without KYC?

No-KYC alternatives are non-custodial P2P marketplaces. For Bitcoin there are Hodl Hodl, Bisq or RoboSats. For stablecoins such as USDT and USDC, Vailox offers onchain escrow with no registration across six networks.

What is the difference between custodial and non-custodial P2P?

In a custodial P2P, such as the ones on exchanges, you deposit your funds on the platform and it locks them during the trade. In a non-custodial one, funds are locked in a smart contract or a multisig and never pass through the platform.

Can I buy USDT on P2P in the EU?

Exchanges with a MiCA license have removed USDT for EEA customers because it is not an authorized stablecoin. MiCA does not prohibit holding USDT in your own wallet. If you want to avoid doubt, USDC does comply with MiCA.
